The Goldstone Pumping Station, Hove (AKA the Engineerium)

I have waited 20 years to photograph the inside of this amazing building. It houses two of the largest beam engines in the UK.

The Victorian Goldstone Pumping Station in Hove Park is a steam powered freshwater pump using two beam engines, one is still operational, powered from the coal fired boilers.
